Growing, We Begin 2026

With the inauguration in 1967 of the first healthcare residence in Castellón, conhecido como “Nuestra Señora del Sagrado Corazón,” healthcare services in this region began. Em 1986, thanks to the intervention of the Ministry of Health at the time, this institution evolved into what is now the Castellón General University Hospital

The hospital has more than 570 inpatient beds, as well as Emergency Services, salas de cirurgia, outpatient clinics, entre outros. It therefore offers virtually the full range of medical and surgical specialties available within the public healthcare system.

With the incorporation of this hospital, we now reach a total of 18 hospitals affiliated with the research, 16 of which are located in Spain, including three (3) in the Valencian region.
