Lujan Comas in Kabala podcast

Luján Comas in Kabala Podcast: “Death does not exist, Consciousness continues beyond the brain.”

When the heart stops beating, the brain stops receiving blood and falls into unconsciousness. And yet, there are people who, during that time, they report a fuller consciousness than ever”, explained Dr.. Luján Comas in his interview withKabbalah Podcast.

The doctor, who worked during32 years at the Vall d'Hebron Hospital —18 of them in cardiac surgery and lung transplant—, explained the origin oflight project, research approved by theNational Ethics Committee, currently active in15 hospitals (13 in Spain and 2 in Latin America).

“It is the largest study in Spanish on near-death experiences.”. Analyze the short-term effects, medium and long term in people resuscitated after cardiac arrest, compared to a control group.”

Comas stressed that the study isprospective and longitudinal, with follow-up at two and eight years, and seeks to understand the vital changes experienced by those who have experienced an NDE: loss of fear of death, greater spiritual connection and transformation of values.

“People who have a near-death experience do not come back the same.”. They lose their fear, they feel connected to everything, change jobs, as a couple, of life… because they know that death does not exist.”

During the meeting, Mario Saban andNacho Newman They spoke with Comas about the affinity between scientific findings and the principles ofKabbalah, which for centuries has maintained that“the soul is not in the brain”. Sabán highlighted how both visions coincide in the existence of aextracorporeal consciousness, while Comas reported documented clinical cases:

“We have had patients who, after 20 minutes without oxygen, describe what happened in the operating room accurately. It is impossible from brain physiology, But it happens.”

They also addressed the phenomenon ofterminal lucidity, when people with Alzheimer's or severe dementia recover clarity and memory hours before dying.

“These people once again have full consciousness, they say goodbye, they remember everything. “This shows that consciousness does not depend on the brain.”

The conversation moved on to deeper topics., like thereincarnation, losmemories of past lives in children, and thevisions of deceased relatives that accompany the transit. Comas cited research byIan Stevenson and shared his own reflection:

“If the energy that we are is still alive after, also existed before. Energy is neither created nor destroyed. For me, “That’s pure logic.”

In the second half of the program, The doctor highlighted the role ofheart as center of consciousness:

"The heart has its own nervous system, produces neurotransmitters and its electromagnetic field is 5.000 times more powerful than that of the brain. The mind divides, the heart unifies.”

Sabán and Newman related these statements to the Kabbalistic concept ofTiferet, the union between the feminine and the masculine, the balance between giving and receiving.

The meeting ended with a hopeful reflection:

“We are in a time of synthesis. Science and spirituality are no longer opposed; they complement each other. Hopefully we can help many people lose the fear of death and live with more awareness and meaning.”

Dr. Comas also recalled that thebenefits of the bookLife beyond life (Kairos Editorial, 2024), co-written with Dr. Xavier Melo, are allocated entirely to the investigation of thelight project of the Icloby Foundation.

“Buying the book not only enriches the soul, "But it also helps to continue researching consciousness beyond the brain.", he added.
