We Welcome Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital

Dr. Luján Comas has announced the inclusion of Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital, bringing the total number of institutions participating in the research initiative known as Light Project to twenty (20), seventeen of which are located in Spain.

Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital is the leading public healthcare institution in Cantabria and a national reference center for highly specialized medical care, education, and research. Located in the city of Santander, the hospital has remained true to the vision of its founders since its establishment in 1929. As reflected in its history, it was conceived as an open institution whose philosophy has always centered on patient care, education, and scientific research.

The hospital strongly promotes both research and teaching. It maintains an academic affiliation with the University of Cantabria, from which it derives its university hospital status. Another of its key objectives is to remain a national reference center for highly specialized clinical and technological services.

Below is the current list of the 20 hospitals participating in Light Project.
