Life Beyond Life: Dra. Luján Comas and Dr. Xavier Melo shares their research on Near Death Experiences

The past26 of September, the programStrange Phenomena dedicated a special broadcast to theNear Death Experiences (NDE) with the participation of two international references: theDr. Luján Comas, anesthesiologist and president of theIcloby Foundation, and theDr. Xavier Melo, economist and researcher, co-founder of the same entity.

Both shared the progress of thelight project, A study currently being developed inmore than 20 hospitals and that scientifically analyzes consciousness during cardiac arrest. “When the heart stops beating, the brain falls into unconsciousness. However, Some resuscitated patients describe an experience of fuller consciousness than when they were conscious., explained Dr. Comas.

During the meeting, Xavier Melo recounted his own near-death experience, lived years ago, which marked the beginning of his research vocation. “Those of us who have had an NDE feel that we have never been more ourselves than when we were clinically dead”, affirmed.

Both agreed that these experiences profoundly transform the lives of those who live them.: reduce fear of death, increase empathy, spiritual sense and connection with others. “People change their values, they seek to help, be coherent and live more from the heart”, Comas pointed out.

The dialogue, lasting more than two hours, also addressed topics such asnon-local consciousness, themediumship, losterminal lucidity phenomena, and the relationship betweenscience and spirituality. Melo highlighted that “the empirical evidence of NDEs is above any theory.”: “The brain can only be an interface between universal and individual consciousness.”.

The program also included aticket draw for himSpiritist Congress of Zaragoza, where Comas and Melo will participate along with other researchers on25 October.

For Dr. Comas, The challenge of today's science is to broaden its vision:

“The scientific method must also include the subjective, what the person feels and lives. Only then can you study consciousness more completely.”

And concluded:

“When it is objectively demonstrated that death does not exist, “A revolution will begin in our way of understanding life.”
